With all this water around, you might be surprised to discover that swimming isn’t available in all areas. But remember, Kerr Lake has only been around 65 years or so, and was created by flooding a formerly inhabited area.
Public swim beaches are available at all Corps of Engineers campgrounds in the area:
North Bend Park
Longwood Park
Buffalo Park
Rudds Creek Day Use Area
Ivy Hill Park
Palmer Point
